30 Minute Workout
FAQ

Are kids able to participate?

Yes, kids are allowed to participate in the workout if they are members and have an active waiver (we accept members aged 12 and higher).  Most of the stations are body weight movements; the rest are light weights including kettlebells and medicine balls

Can kids come in and wait while I workout?

Yes, kids are welcome to sit in the lobby area at the front while parents exercise but must stay out of the circuit.  A signed waiver is needed for all participants in the circuit, including kids and adults, and the waiver is only valid for active members.

Is this workout geared towards men or women?

Both men and women can equally perform all the exercises we use.  Although we use a few stations that include boxing bags, you definitely do NOT need to have any boxing experience to join us.  All exercises are clearly demonstrated, and do not require any specific level of training or fitness for you to successfully complete.  Always remember to work at your own pace.

What are Programs?

Programs are a way of grouping the different categories of exercises to enable members to choose a fitness regimen that suits their fitness goals.   Our basic LEVEL 1 program contains cardio (bodyweight) and boxing-style exercises that are suitable for beginner and intermediate members.  We also offer programs for Yoga, Plyometrics and Functional Movements.  Members can mix and match different programs on different days of the week to focus on different areas of fitness, as well as making gym visits more fun.  See more detail on Programs here.

How long does it take to get my hand wraps and gloves?

You can pick up your new member package at the vending area in the gym any time after signup. You’ll use the same app used for entry at the door to scan and open the vending locker door.  New members receive an email immediately after signing up explaining this process.

Is a Heart Rate Monitor available?

YES!!  Use the Heart Rate Monitor to optimize your workout during your 30 minutes!!  Our in-gym monitor is centrally located, and displays your Current Heart Rate, % of Max Heart Rate and Calories Burned during your workout.  After completion, you’ll get an email summary of your session performance.  And you can always review past performances by going into the History section of the mobile app.  You can purchase a compatible heart rate monitor through the mobile app and pick it up in the vending area.

What do I bring to the gym for my workouts?

All equipment for your workout is already at the gym.  You only need to bring your hand wraps and boxing gloves (optionally a heart rate monitor) on each visit.  Most members usually bring water and a hand towel.  The gym floor has a hard rubber covering – some members bring an exercise mat or use their towel to protect their forearms during on-floor exercises.

Can I pick any station to start at?

The workouts have been carefully created to build and then decline from stations 1 through 10, so we encourage you to move in this order.   If needed, you and a friend can possibly start at stations 1 and 2, with each of you ending at stations 10 and 1, respectively.  NO MEMBER SHOULD EVER COMPLETE THE CIRCUIT BACKWARDS (stations 10 to 1).

Is this a franchise?

We are in the initial stages of setting up our franchise system.  If you are interested in franchise opportunities, please contact us.

Does this workout build muscle?

You will build muscle, but it will tend more towards lean muscle rather than bulky muscle.  There are no heavy weights used in the circuit; only your bodyweight along with light (25 lbs or less) dumb bells kettlebells and medicine balls.   High repetitions are used in many exercise moves.  Emphasis is on toning rather than sheer muscle growth.  NOTE:  But your overall strength WILL DEFINITELY INCREASE!

How do I stop my membership?

Your membership is on a month-to-month basis.   If you need to cancel (for whatever reason), simply send a cancellation request email to info@30minutewo.com, and your membership will be cancelled on the next billing cycle.  You can continue to use the gym until that date passes.

Are there discounts for families, spouses, kids, parents, girl/boyfriends, cousins, friends?

We have worked hard to get the price point down to the current monthly membership levels, which smoke prices from our direct competition (Orange Theory, 9 Round, Title Boxing to name a few) by 100% to 200%.   You'll see the membership fees on our website and all marketing material as we see this as a major advantage over the competition - not a negative that we hide.   While there are some figure-it-out-yourself gyms (Planet Fitness, Golds Gym) that are $15 to $20/month, our difference is that we have your workouts already pre-planned.   Just show up and go through the process, and you WILL start on the path to meeting your fitness goals.
